Robin's Egg Blue Frosting
Beat butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, approximately 3 minutes.
Add powdered sugar and milk then beat until combined.
Add gel food coloring, one drop at a time, and mix until desired shade of blue is achieved.
Frost donuts with buttercream.
Whiskey Speckle
Whisk whiskey and cocoa powder in a small bowl until smooth and lump free.
Dip a small paintbrush into the whiskey mixture and flick the bristles with your fingertips to create a splatter effect on the frosting. Repeat until frosting resembles a speckled robin's egg.
